The distillery was founded in 1790 and was a family-owned distillery until 1894. The Balblair 2005 was bottles in 2015 and was set to replace a simpilary aged 2003 vintage. The nose of Balblair 2005 Vintage Highland Single Malt, carries some sweet aromas, such as vanilla, toffee and caramel. There are also undertones of wood oak and spice. The palate is contains elements of toffee, vanilla and banana. The finish is that of dry wood and earthy spices.
