After the closure/mothballing of the Rosebank Distillery in 1993 the Glenkinchie Distillery became one of the few surviving Lowland distilleries in Scotland. The nose of the Glenkinchie 12yr Old is that of light butterscotch and orange marmalade aromas. There are also some citrus and lemon curd notes. The palate is that of some toffee, vanilla and light spices flavours. The whisky also has some undertones of cardamom and mint flavours. The finish is that of fruit and smoke with a hint of spice.
