The Coopers Croze is one in a series known as the makers series from Jameson. This whiskey is a celebration to the craft of the Master Cooper, Ger Buckley, the company's 5th generation Head Cooper. The name "croze" comes from a tool used by coopers which is used to create the groove at the end of the barrel to secure the head. The nose of the Jameson Coopers Croze, is that of toasted oak and some warm grain aromas. There are also some honey and orange zest aromas. The palate is that of butterscotch, vanilla and wood tannin flavours. There is a undertone of spice that lingers in the back as well as some fresh fruit flavours.
