It is a triple distilled Single Malt from the Bushmills Distillery in Northern Ireland. The whiskey has been matured in ex-bourbon barrels and in the end it has been married together with Oloroso Sherry Casks.On the nose Knappogue Castle 16 years old has malty, grassy aromas with undertones of mellow wood and some fruity sherry notes. On the palate there are plenty of rich, complex & malty flavours. The finish is that of sweetness coming from the sherry casks and harmonises the whiskey as a whole.
