Production began in 1954 and the first run was bottles in 1958. Maker's Mark is one of the best known wheaters, which means that their bourbon is made with wheat instead of rye in the mash bill which gives it a sweeter taste than most traditional bourbons.The nose of the Maker's Mark Kentucky Straight Bourbon, has a unforgettable bourbon spice with waves of caramel, cinnamon and vanilla aromas. There is also undertones of toffee and apple pie. The palate is that of spice, vanilla, cherries and hints of citrus and nuttiness flavours.
