The liquid itself has a gorgeous red hue and great viscosity, noting that it's bottled at natural cask strength at 58.4%. The nose is a mixture of aromatic malt notes with touches of red berry and oak. The palate has a good balance of distillate contribution, wine cask essence, and underlying sweetness.
