Powers Gold Label
Powers Gold label is one of the best selling blended whiskies in Ireland. Of all the the Irish blended whiskies, Powers contains the highest proportion of single pot still whiskey, approximately 70%. This high content of single pot still whiskey gives Powers Gold Label a beautiful balance of spice, sweetness and creamy smoothness.
Redbreast 12 year old
Redbreast 12 Year Old Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey, first came out in 1939 and was bottled by Gilbeys. It is a gaurenteed 12 year old whiskey which has been matured in ex-bourbon casks and finished off in ex-sherry casks. It is the largest selling Irish Pot Sill in the world.
On the nose the Redbreast 12 Year Old, has touches of toffee crisp with undertones of dried fruit and spices. As for the palate there is a recognisable taste of roasted nuts, that is constant in every bottling of the Redbreast range. It has a long warm spicy finish lingers and makes your mouth water for more.
Green Spot Château Léoville Barton
Green Spot Château Léoville Barton was the first special cask finish release in the Spot Whiskey range released in 2015. The whiskey itself is the exact same liquid as the Original Green Spot but it has been furthered matured in two separate Chateau Leoville Barton bordeaux red wine casks for a period of 12 months for one cask and 24 months for the second cask. Bottled at 46%abv and non-chill filtered it is an exceptional example of Single Pot Still whiskey. Winner of the World Whiskies Award for Best Single Pot Still Whiskey 2015.
The distinct apple and orchard fruits typical of Green Spot are evident in this whiskey, however the influence of the 12 months maturations imparts burst of red fruits and berry texture along with some tannic spicy french oak. Award winning for good reason!
Method & Madness Pot Still Batch 2
Method and Madness is a brand developed by the Masters and Apprentices in the Midleton Distillery. The brand was developed to experiment with innovation and creativity in whiskey production. This single pot still release is matured in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, then finished in chestnut casks sourced from France.
Method & Madness Single Malt
Method & Madness Single Malt, is a Single Malt Whiskey from the Midleton Distillery in Cork. The Method & madness range was launched in March 2017. It is a 14 year old whiskey that has been distilled by David Quinn. The whiskey has been aged in ex-bourbon casks before 40% of the liquid was taken for further maturation in Virgin Limousin Oak casks from France.
The nose of Method & Madness Single Malt, is that of malt spirit with some soft spicy aromas and plenty of wood essence. The palate id that of malty tones with waves of spice and sweetness that makes this whiskey so unquie and a must have for any whiskey drinker.
Redbreast 15 Year Old
Redbreast 15 Year Old Single Pot Still, was at first a limited edition but was made a permanent member of the Redbreast range due to its popularity. It is a vetted Single Pot Still with whiskeys between 15 to 19 years old. It is said to be the heaviest and richest of any Irish Pot Still Whiskey. It has been matured in 1st fill bourbon and then finished off in 1st fill sherry casks, which gives it it's classic Redbreast style.
On the nose the Redbreast 15 Year Old, has a strong smell of roasted nuts, apricots, prunes and Christmas cake. As for the palate there is again roasted nut flavours with a strong flavour of exotic spices and a undertone of a flamed orange peel. Overall the flavour profile of the Redbreast 15 Year Old, is that of rich and heavy Sherry notes.
Midleton Very Rare Vintage Release 2019
The 36th edition in the renowned and highly collectable range from Midleton Very Rare, has been officially unveiled. This latest Very Rare, Vintage Release is a masterfully blended Irish Whiskey from distillates laid down at Midleton Distillery, Co Cork, over the past four decades. Crafted by Master Distiller Brian Nation, Midleton Very Rare 2019 combines only hand-selected Single Pot Still and Single Grain Irish Whiskeys of exceptional quality and rarity within the Midleton Distillery, with each whiskey having been matured exclusively in lightly-charred ex-bourbon American Oak Barrels for between 13 and 34 years. This marks some of the oldest whiskey every used in a Midleton Very Rare Vintage Release.
Redbreast 21 Year Old
Redbreast 21 Year Old Irish Whiskey, is a pot still whiskey in the Redbreast range. This whiskey has some been matured in some similar casks to the 12 and 15 year old Redbreast but also has some refill casks.
On the nose the Redbreast 21 Year Old Irish Whiskey, has amazingly some tropical fruit aromas along the the usually pot still spice and nuttiness. On the palate there is a slight vanilla flavour along side some wonderful fresh fruit notes. The over all mouth fell is creamy and buttery with a finish of spice and leafy notes.
Jameson Bow Street 18 Years Old Cask Strength
Jameson Bow Street 18 Years Cask Strength is a blend of pot still and grain Irish whiskeys, and for the first time in the history of Jameson, this is bottled at cask strength (55,3% ABV).
It was matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks at the Midleton distillery, then married in first-fill bourbon barrels for one year, resting at the Bow Street Distillery (where they have a tiny storage facility of just 84 casks…).
Midleton Barry Crockett Legacy
Midleton Barry Crockett Legacy, was a whiskey that was brought out to commemorate the life work of the former Midleton Master Distiller, who retired in 2013 after 47 years at the distillery. The whiskey itself is a Pot Still in which Barry himself helped to formulate, which has become highly regarded as one of the best in the range. It is a non-age statement whiskey but it thought to be up to 25 years old, matured in 1st fill bourbon with a small amount being matured in virgin Irish oak barrels.
On the nose, Midleton Barry Crockett Single Pot Still has aromas of freshly baked bread just out of the oven, with hints of toffee and caramel. On the palate it is layered with complex flavours that work together to form this beautiful whiskey. On the front of the mouth citrus fruits and all spice are the domination flavours, as the whiskey moves along your mouth it brings with it different flavours, such as coco,honey, marshmallow and fruit peel. The finish is that of leather and tobacco. A must have whiskey.
