Ardmore Legacy, is a Single Malt Scotch Whisky produced in the Ardmore Distillery located on the border of the Speyside and Highland region of Scotland. This distillery also provides the malt for the Teachers Highland Cream.This whisky was first introduced in 2014 as a replacement for the Ardmore Traditional peated single malt whisky. The nose of the Ardmore Legacy is that of mild sweet and peaty aromas. There are also some notes of charred meat and sweet warming cinnamon. With water added the aromas change to peppers and ashes. The palate has sweet honey and peat flavours. There are also some notes of dry oak and lemon peel. The finish is light and grassy. There are undertones of some peppery spices.

There are also some vanilla and salty notes evident. The palate is the of strong charcoal and caramel flavours. There are notes of smoked bacon and some spice notes. Blackbull 12yr Old Blended Whisky, is a Blended Scottish Whisky produced by Ducan Taylor. The Black Bull 12 Year Old is made using Highland and Speyside malt whiskies matured in refill ex-sherry European Oak butts and refill ex-bourbon American oak hogsheads. The ratio is 50% malt and 50% grain whisky. The nose of the Blackbull 12yr Old Blended Whisky, is that of some very sweet notes and a little bit of a peat aroma with some sherry notes. Big Smoke 60, is a Islay Blended Malt Whisky produced by Duncan Taylor Scotch Whisky Ltd, which are one of Scotland's largest independent bottling companies. In this range there are only two whiskies, the Big Smoke 40 and the 60, which relate to the alcoholic strenghts; 40% ABV and 60 ABV. Big Smoke is a young blend and contains a large percentage of smoky single malts from the western isle of Islay. The nose of the Big Smoke 60 Islay Blended Malt, is of course a smokey aroma. Glenrothes Peated Cask Reserve, is a Scottish Single Malt from the Glenrothes Distillery in the Speyside region. The whisky was released to the US market in April 2016, and is the newest addition to the Speyside distillery's Reserve Collection. It has been created by selecting and marrying 1992 Vintage casks, before being finished in casks carefully selected from the peaty region of Islay. The inspiration for the whisky came from a time in the distillery's history, when the Glenrothes formed an association with an Islay Distillery in 1887.

Port Charlotte PC12 Oileanach Furachail, is a Single Malt from the Bruichladdich Distillery on Islay, Scotland. Port Charlotte PC12 is the eight release in te PC series of cask strenght single malts.The name of the whisky "Oileanach Furachail" refers to a "young student carefully observing how the master goes about his work, looking and learning". This refers to Adam Hannett who has been the Bruichladdich apperitence distiller since 2006.The nose of the Port Charlotte PC12, has a burst of smoke, salt and as the aromas contuine there is an development of dark fruits, such as raisins, toffee and oak. There are undertones of cinnamon, orange and nuts. The palate is rich and succulent, with honey and lemon flavours, that are well balanced with peat smoke. There are also plenty fruit notes such as apricot, pear and green apples. The finish is that of liquorice and malty flavours. A well-balanced whisky that is a must try.
Octomore 07.2, is a Scottish Peated Whisky from the Bruichladdich Distillery on Islay. It is a limited edition whisky that marries spirit matured in classic ex-bourbons and spirit matured in casks that once held Syrah created in vineyards of the Rhone Valley. The whisky is peated to 208ppm and is a 5 year old whisky.The nose of the Octomore 07.2, is that of gentle peat smoke and freshly baked apple pie. There are also aromas of peach and apricot with some deep floral notes and hints of orange. The palate is that of sweet and smoke, there are flavours of brown sugar, toffee and honey. The finish is that of lemon zest, red berries and vanilla that lingers and reminds you of Islay.
Octomore 07.3, is a peated Scottish Whisky from the Bruichladdich Distillery on Islay. It is the second release from the Bruichladdich peat releases. This whisky is edition 07.3 and has been made from barley grown only 2 miles along the coast from the distillery at the oOctomore farm. It has been matured in ex-bourbon barrels and also in Spanish wine cask of Ribera del Duero.The nose of the Ocotmore 07.3, has of course a hot of peat smoke, which is followed by a aroma of lemon cheescake. There are also hints od jam, toffee and vanilla. The palate is that of a rich sweetness combined with peat smoke. Flavours of peach and melon emerge, while there is also hints of mint and thyme. The finish is that of sea salt and peat.
Octomore 07.1, is a Scottish Peated Single Malt Whisky from the Bruichladdich Distillery on Isaly. The barley used has been harvested from the mainland of Scotland and was peated to 208ppm. It has been matured for 5 years in American Oak barrels and comes out at 59.5% ABV. The nose of the Octomore 07.1, is that of the sea air with some lemon tart and piped tabacco aromas. There are also hints of vanilla, mint and toffee aromas towards the end. The palate is surpriseingly smooth with a sweetness mixed together with smoke. There are flavours of fruit, vanilla, honey and citrus fruit as well as a strange but complmentry flavour of sea spray. The finish is sweet and oaky that fades away slowly.
Octomore Virgin Oak, is a Scottish Peated Whisky from the Bruichladdich Distillery on Islay. It is an early 2016 release which is part of Bruichladdich's extremely peaty Octomore series. This edition is 07.4 and has had 25% aged in entirely virgin oak casks while 75% of it has spent 3 years in first fill bourbon casks, followed by 2 years in virgin oak caks and then 2 more years in first fill bourbon. On the nose of Octomore Virgin Oak is sultanas, with aromas of a flamed orange sparked for a old fashioned. There are also strong BBQ and fire wood aromas. The palate is that of peat smoke, along with flavours of citrus, honey and spices. The finish is the most unexspected with a long floral sweetness with a rich oak warmth.
Ardbeg Auriverdes, is a Single Malt Peated Scotch Whisky produced at the Ardbeg Distillery on the island of Islay. THe Auriverdes is a limited edition single malt that was launcheed in 2014. What is special about this whisky is the maturation process, the lids of the American oak casks were specially toasted in order to impart additional flavours to the final product. The nose of the Ardbeg Auriverdes, is sweet and earthy, aromas of vanilla and wet peat draw you into the whisky. There are slight faint aromas of chocolate and pepper. The palate has some jelly beans and peat smoke flavours. There are also some honey and bacon flavours (yum). The finish has some some intense enjoyable sweet smoke flavours.

Bowmore 25 year old Single Malt is a great representation of what you should expect from the very best whiskies from Islay. Even though this whisky has been maturing in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks for at least 25 years, the Bowmore distillate still shines through in all of it's floral glory, intertwined with the cask influence, you get one of the finest whisky's on Islay.The nose and palate of this whisky coincide with each other. There are elements of peat smoke, citrus fruits, but dominated by floral tones, barley and green fruits. The palate is wonderfully complex and allows you to find varying flavours when some time is spent with it. Bowmore 25 year old Single Malt is one of the greats of Islay.
Talisker 25 Year Old Single Malt, is a Single Malt from the Talisker Distillery on the Isle Of Skye in Scotland. The 2015 release consists of only 9882 bottles drawn from re-fill casks. On the nose the Talisker 25 Year Old, has an abundance of citrus aromas withhints of vanilla. There are more oaky aromas than expected, as well as a deep earthy peat that comes out when a few drops of water is added. The palate has flavours of pepper, with sweetness that has a kick of peat behind it. It leaves some impact. The finish is light in smoke and leaves a lovely black peppery flavour.
This particular Laphroaig 25 year old release, won Best Cask Strength Single Malt at the IWSC Awards in 2011. The release at Cask strength made a considerable difference to this whisky, and it has now solidified it's place as one of the best Peated Single Malts ever released.The palate of this whisky is one of the most complex in Islay Malts. There are notes of signature Laphroaig coal dust, smoke, seaweed, and woodsmoke which you might expect from older Laphroaigs. But, they are followed by big shared sweetness, almost jammy fruits, balanced by the spice, and saltiness of it's backbone. An incredible whisky!
Laphroaig 25 Year Old, is a Scottish Single Malt from the Laphroaig Distillery on the Isle of Islay in Scotland. It is a hightly sought after cask strenght expression of Laphroaig's celebrated 25 year old. The 2013 bottling was awarded the title "Best Cask Strenght Single Malt" at the International Wine and Spirits Competition. The whisky is matured in ex-bourbon and ex-Sherry casks and comes in at 45.1% ABV. A must buy for any Islay Whisky fan.
