Big Smoke 40, is a Islay Blended Malt which is produced by the Duncan Taylor Company. The number 40 represents the alcoholic strength of the whisky; 40% ABV. This is a younger, more intensely smoky version of Auld Reekie.The nose of the Big Smoke 40 Islay Blended Malt, is that of wood smoke, wet forestry and some nutty aromas. There are also some vanilla and salty notes evident. The palate is the of strong charcoal and caramel flavours. There are notes of smoked bacon and some spice notes. The finish is that of wood ash and vanilla.
Blackbull 12yr Old Blended Whisky, is a Blended Scottish Whisky produced by Ducan Taylor. The Black Bull 12 Year Old is made using Highland and Speyside malt whiskies matured in refill ex-sherry European Oak butts and refill ex-bourbon American oak hogsheads. The ratio is 50% malt and 50% grain whisky. The nose of the Blackbull 12yr Old Blended Whisky, is that of some very sweet notes and a little bit of a peat aroma with some sherry notes. There are also notes of some pear and sweet berry aromas. The palate is creamy and buttery flavours. Notes of toffe and fruit flavours are also present. The finish is long with some chocolate and roasted coffe flavours.

Ledaig 10 year old Single Malt is produced at the Tobermory Distillery on the island of Mull. In this range there are only two whiskies, the Big Smoke 40 and the 60, which relate to the alcoholic strengths; 40% ABV and 60 ABV. Big Smoke is a young blend and contains a large percentage of smoky single malts from the western isle of Islay. The nose of the Big Smoke 60 Islay Blended Malt, is of course a smokey aroma. There are also some sweet and rubbery notes, such as vanilla, toffee and licorice. The palate is that of spice and a fruit and nut chocolate bar flavours. There is a slight plum tart flavour. The finish is that of smoke and leather.
Bunnahabhain 12 Year Old is a Islay Single Malt Whisky produced in the Bunnahabhain Distillery. The distillery was founded in 1881 near Port Askaig. Bunnahabhain takes a different approach from its many counterparts on Islay considering itself "the gentle taste of Islay". The 12 year old is made with un-chill filtered malts bottled at 46.3% ABV.The nose of the Bunnahabhain 12 Year Old has notes of tropical fruits along with some earthy, smoked oak aromas. There are also notes of citrus and sea air. The palate is that of creamy, malty, earthy flavours. It is gentle with some swings of spice, clove and a hint of cinnamon. The finish has a tingle of spice that ends in a syrup, creamy and vanilla flavour.
Glenrothes Peated Cask Reserve is a Scottish Single Malt from the Glenrothes Distillery in the Speyside region. The whisky was released to the US market in April 2016 and is the newest addition to the Speyside distillery's Reserve Collection. It has been created by selecting and marrying 1992 Vintage casks before being finished in casks carefully selected from the peaty region of Islay. The inspiration for the whisky came from a time in the distillery's history when the Glenrothes formed an association with an Islay Distillery in 1887.
Highland Park Einar, is a part of the Warrior Series of Single Malts. The series was exclusive to Travel Retail originally but has now been released to select markets. Matured exclusively in ex-Sherry casks, made from both American oak & European oak. The nose and palate of this whiskey are very typical of Highland park, lots of vanilla, orange peel, and soft peat smoke.

Bowmore Vault Edition First Release, is a Single Malt Scotch whisky from the Bowmore distillery on the isle of Islay in Scotland. It is one of the oldest in Scotland and is said to have been established in 1779. The distillery is owned by Morrison Bowmore Distillers Ltd, a holding company owned by Japanese drinks company Suntory. The distillery was established in 1779. This whisky was launched in November 2016. This series explores four of the essential characteristics of Bowmre whisky after maturation in the legendary No.1 Valuts. For this whisky they have chosen the Atlantic Sea Salt notes. The ones to come will explore peat smoke, vanilla sweetness and citrus fruits. The nose of the Bowmore Vault Edition First Release Single Malt Scotch, is well balanced with some notes of vanilla and sweet lemon and orange aromas. There are some notes of sea spray and light wood smoke. The palate is oily with some maritime flavours. There are some undertones of salt and citrus notes, with some iodine and earty smoke flavours. The finish is that of touches of ginger and mixed fruits. This whisky has done exactly what it says on the bottle, with the sea-slat notes clearly present, mission accomplished Bowmore.
Ardbeg Corryvreckan Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, is a Single Malt Scottish Whisky produced at the Ardbeg Distillery located on the island of Islay. The distillery itself was founded in 1815 and has had a rocky history, the 80s and 90s saw the distillery suffer closings and shockingly limited periods of distillations of small batches which were intended for blends. On the nose the Ardbeg Corryvreckan Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, it leads with dry peat smoke, with some buttery, sweet vanilla and mint leave aromas. The palate is sweet with a light smoke, sea salt, touches lemon cake, and a hint of smoked bacon. The finish has layers of toffee, smoke and cinnamon.
Bunnahabhain 18 year old, Islay Single Malt Whisky is produced at the Distillery of the same name in Scotland. Octomore 07.3, is a peated Scottish Whisky from the Bruichladdich Distillery on Islay. It is the second release from the Bruichladdich peat releases. This whisky is edition 07.3 and has been made from barley grown only 2 miles along the coast from the distillery at the oOctomore farm. It has been matured in ex-bourbon barrels and also in Spanish wine cask of Ribera del Duero.The nose of the Ocotmore 07.3, has of course a hot of peat smoke, which is followed by aromas of lemon cheescake. There are also hints of jam, toffee and vanilla. The palate is that of a rich sweetness combined with peat smoke. Flavours of peach and melon emerge, while there is also hints of mint and thyme. Sea salt and peat on the finish make this an incredibly well rounded whisky.
Octomore 07.1, is a Scottish Peated Single Malt Whisky from the Bruichladdich Distillery on Isaly. The barley used has been harvested from the mainland of Scotland and was peated to 208ppm. It has been matured for 5 years in American Oak barrels and comes out at 59.5% ABV. The nose of the Octomore 07.1, is that of the sea air with some lemon tart and piped tobacco aromas. There are also hints of vanilla, mint and toffee aromas towards the end. The palate is surprisingly smooth with a sweetness mixed together with smoke. There are flavours of fruit, vanilla, honey and citrus fruit as well as a strange but complementary flavour of sea spray. The finish is sweet and oaky that fades away slowly.
Octomore Virgin Oak, is a Scottish Peated Whisky from the Bruichladdich Distillery on Islay. It is an early 2016 release which is part of Bruichladdich's extremely peaty Octomore series. This edition is 07.4 and has had 25% aged in entirely virgin oak casks while 75% of it has spent 3 years in first fill bourbon casks, followed by 2 years in virgin oak caks and then 2 more years in first fill bourbon. On the nose of Octomore Virgin Oak is sultanas, with aromas of a flamed orange sparked for a old fashioned. There are also strong BBQ and fire wood aromas. The palate is that of peat smoke, along with flavours of citrus, honey and spices. The finish is the most unexspected with a long floral sweetness with a rich oak warmth.

Bowmore 25 year old Single Malt is a great representation of what you should expect from the very best whiskies from Islay. Even though this whisky has been maturing in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks for at least 25 years, the Bowmore distillate still shines through in all of it's floral glory, intertwined with the cask influence, you get one of the finest whisky's on Islay.The nose and palate of this whisky coincide with each other. There are elements of peat smoke, citrus fruits, but dominated by floral tones, barley and green fruits. The palate is wonderfully complex and allows you to find varying flavours when some time is spent with it. Bowmore 25 year old Single Malt is one of the greats of Islay.
Talisker 25 Year Old Single Malt, is a Single Malt from the Talisker Distillery on the Isle Of Skye in Scotland. The 2015 release consists of only 9882 bottles drawn from re-fill casks. On the nose the Talisker 25 Year Old, has an abundance of citrus aromas withhints of vanilla. There are more oaky aromas than expected, as well as a deep earthy peat that comes out when a few drops of water is added. The palate has flavours of pepper, with sweetness that has a kick of peat behind it. It leaves some impact. The finish is light in smoke and leaves a lovely black peppery flavour.
This particular Laphroaig 25 year old release, won Best Cask Strength Single Malt at the IWSC Awards in 2011. The release at Cask strength made a considerable difference to this whisky, and it has now solidified it's place as one of the best Peated Single Malts ever released.The palate of this whisky is one of the most complex in Islay Malts. There are notes of signature Laphroaig coal dust, smoke, seaweed, and woodsmoke which you might expect from older Laphroaigs. But, they are followed by big shared sweetness, almost jammy fruits, balanced by the spice, and saltiness of it's backbone. An incredible whisky!
Laphroaig 25 Year Old, is a Scottish Single Malt from the Laphroaig Distillery on the Isle of Islay in Scotland. It is a hightly sought after cask strenght expression of Laphroaig's celebrated 25 year old. The 2013 bottling was awarded the title "Best Cask Strenght Single Malt" at the International Wine and Spirits Competition. The whisky is matured in ex-bourbon and ex-Sherry casks and comes in at 45.1% ABV. A must buy for any Islay Whisky fan.
