The nose of the Jim Beam White Label Kentucky Straight Bourbon is that of caramel, spice and corn aromas. There are also undertones of citrus and liquorice with a slight herbal sense. The palate is that of caramel and toffee flavours, there are also notes of baking spices and vanilla. There are also flavours of corn, aniseed and citrus zest. The finish is that of caramel and toasted oak.

Jack Daniels Old No.7, is a Tennessee Whiskey from the Jack Daniels Distillery in Tennessee America. This is the standard bottling from the Jack Daniels range. It takes its name from the distilleries founder, who in 1866 started his now famous distillery. Although Jack Daniels can somewhat be discribed as a bourbon, under the guidelines, due to the sugar maple charcoal filtration of the distillate before it goes int the barrel, this is not possible.

The nose of Jack Daniels Old No.7, is banana, vanilla and some strong corn aromas. The palate is that of banana, vanilla, toffee and some smoke flavours. The finish is long and full of sweet flavours along side some more tropical fruit flavours.

The brand actually got its start in Detroit, and decided to make a move to Canada due to the onset of prohibition in the area. The grains used in the whisky including rye, rye malt, barley malt and corn are aged separately before blending and bottling.

The nose of the Canadian Club Blended Canadian Whisky is that of some sweetness and rye aromas. There are also some dried herb aromas. The palate is that of some charred barrels flavours and some sweet corn notes. The finish is long and has some leather flavours.

Jim Beam Double Oak Bourbon is an American Bourbon from the Jim Beam Distillery in Clermont, Kentucky which is owned by Beam-Suntory. This whiskey is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey finished in oak that is twice barrelled to create richer and woodier flavours than other whiskeys. The whiskey itself has been aged for four years sitting in freshly charred oak barrels then it has been transferred to newly charred oak barrels and aged to taste.

The nose of the Jim Beam Double Oak Bourbon, is that there are plenty of dark oak aromas with plenty of spice, vanilla and caramel. There are also tones of brown sugar and coffee. The palate is that of molasses, sugar and wood flavours. The finish is long and woody, with plenty of oak flavours along with some cinnamon spice.

The nose of the Woodford Reserve Distiller's Select Kentucky Straight Rye, is that of white pepper and candy aromas. There are also notes of golden syrup and toasted nuts. The palate is classic rye character with pepper and oak flavours. There are also notes of cinnamon, caramel and honey. The finish is juicy with flavours of cardamom, almond and pears.

Tincup American Whiskey, comes from an old mining town set up just west of the Rockies, Colorado. The whiskey is a salute to the men that drank whiskey out of tin cups after a hard days mining. The whiskey itself is a blend of two American whiskeys each aged in charred oak barrels. These whiskeys are then cut with Rocky Mountain water.

The aroma of Tincup American Whiskey is filled with red fruit and a finish of peanut shells. There is also a slight rye aroma present but you do have to leave it breath a while. The palate is that of brown sugar, spice and that warm rye sensation. Overall the whiskey is well balanced and can stand alone.

The palate has rich vanilla, banana flavours, with undertones of nuts and corn flavours. The mouth feel is mellow despite being 50% ABV, with a complex amount of flavours that lingers until the finish.

This is an introductory bourbon in the E.H. Taylor whiskey lineup. The whiskey is named after Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor Jr. who purchased the Old Fire Copper distillery in 1869 and started distilling. In 1878 it was bought by George T. Stagg.
