Canadian Club Blended, is a Canadian Whisky produced by Beam Suntory. The brand was created by Hiram Walker and Sons in 1858. The brand actually got its start in Detroit, and decided to make a move to Canda due to the onset of Prohibition in the area.The grains used in the whisky, rye, rye malt, barley malt and corn are aged separately before blending and bottling.The nose of the Canadian Club Blended Canadian Whisky, is that of some sweetness and rye aromas. There are also some dried herb aromas. The palate is that of some charred barrels flavours and some sweet corn notes. The finish is long and has some leather flavours.
Crown Royal Blended, is a Blended Canadian Whisky produced at the Crown Royal Distillery at Gimli, Manitoba, Canada. The company is now owned by Diageo who purchased it off Seagram in 2000. The origin of the company came in 1939 to celebrate the visit of King George VI and his wife Queen Elizabeth to Canada.The nose of the Crown Royal Blended, is that of caramel, light fruit and some citrus aromas. There are also some nuttiness and vanilla notes. The palate has some caramel, citrus and vanilla flavours. There are some undertones of cake and sweetness. The finish has some caramel and candy corn flavours along with some maple and raw grain.
