Progressive Hebridean Distillers Tasting. Friday 27th November 7:30 p.m. via Zoom
Our good friend Abigail from Bruichladdich completes her hat-trick of tastings with us. She has hosted us in the pub and the shop and now virtually. To get a complete picture of the whisky that Bruichladdich produce you have to try the three different styles available, Bruichladdich, Port Charlotte and Octomore. And we have some cracking versions of those for you to try.
Bruichladdich Classic Laddie. The distillery flagship.
Bruichladdich Islay Barley. Growing barley on Islay isn’t easy! Let’s taste whisky made from it!
Bruichladdich Black Art 1994, 25 year old edition 07.1 – An absolute stunner of a whisky and highly sought after, so we thought we would share ours with you.
The following two whiskies were the inspiration for this event. I tried these virtually with Abigail back in October and was blown away by them.
Port Charlotte MRC: 01 Matured in French wine casks including some from the left bank of Bordeaux, can you guess which Chateau? MRC might give it away.
Port Charlotte OLC: 01 Matured in ex bourbon then transferred into Oloroso sherry casks.
And to end the tasting...
Octomore 11.1 The latest addition to the Octomore series, a heavily peated cask strength gem!
6 x 17.5 ml samples sent out 7 days before the event.
